A novel in the Arabic language by award winning Algerian writer Amara Lakhous (b. 1970). The author describes Rome as a female wolf, how can one nurse from the female wolf without getting bitten? The author also wrote this book in Italian, under the title 'Scontro di civilt à per ascensore a piazza Vittorio' and it has been translated to English as 'The Clash of Civilizations Over an Elevator in the Piazza Vittorio). A colorful and comedic story taking place in a small culturally mixed community living in an apartment in the center of Rome.

Amara Lakhous is an Italian/Algerian author, journalist and anthropologist. He was born in Algers in 1970 and current resides in Italy, He writes in Arabic, French, Italian and English, The author has been awarded the International Literary Prize in 2006, and the Algerian Literary Award in 2008.
