A work by the famous Spanish Muslim scholar, Abu Bakr Muhammad al-Turtushi (d. 520/1126). This is important in the study of innovation in religion (bida'). Turtushi used evidence from the Qur'an and from legal sources to support opinions. The work shows the conflicts in and out of the orthodox Muslim community, both past and in his time.
